Mark Orr: NEW GAMES
Mark will teach you two of the most fun games on the planet: Five Things and Home Shopping Network. Both are fast-paced, high-energy timed competitions that use mime and gibberish. If you want to learn, work on, or pump up your object work, gibberish skills, or stage presence—or just love guessing games—this is your class. Minimum of 4 students; maximum of 8.
Allyson Weldy: STAGECRAFT & SCENEWORK
Allyson will rock your stage presence AND your improv skills. You'll learn to yes-and harder, project bigger, and focus like a laser beam. (SERIOUSLY AN ACTUAL LASER BEAM.)Minimum of 4 students; maximum of 15.
Jim Sturgill: KC IMPROV FESTIVAL PREP (longform improv)
Jim (father of Quillan) will get a group ready to perform with the big dogs at the annual KC Improv Festival. In this advanced three-part workshop, "Introduction to Long Form Improvisation," a limited number of students will learn and perform different long forms. To participate in this workshop, you ABSOLUTELY MUST be available for all three sessions (6/7, 7/12 and 8/16) PLUS the festival show (TBD—either 9/10 or 9/17). Minimum of 6 students; maximum of 12. Our goal is to have one student from every school.)
